We all know how picky children can be when it comes to food, and we all know that some times it is easier to just give in. The reality is, as adults we are responsible for what our children are eating. We are the ones who are providing food for the house, and we live by example (whether we like it or not).
I have worked with hundreds of children and seen hundreds of different lifestyles. We all have one excuse or another to why we eat the way we do. But we need to ask ourselves is this quick fix worth the long terms results?
Find some fun ways you can eat clean together. Prep some easy snacks for the children and yourself as well. From the moment we start eating we are developing that sense of taste, and desire for food. Do you want your 2 year old craving the sugar from candy, snack packs, cookies? or how about the satisfaction of a fresh piece of fruit? Changing habits is not always easy, but it is worth it. And setting your children up for a healthy life is more valuable than than we may understand.
