I love working with children! Children look at this world with hope and a desire to explore. They question the unknown and naturally seek answers. I feel it is so important to nurture that element. Far too often, children are directed to follow a path set up by an adult. When we allow children to follow their interests, to ask questions and to personally explore the world around them, they become who they are meant to be.
After spending a few years working in an incredibly rich preschool environment I decided to pursue my Masters in Early Childhood Education. During this time I explored how children learn and how they respond to the world around them. I began to understand communication and interactions among humans in general. This education opeend my eyes to how similar adults and children are.
I feel both adults and children need to focus on the basics in life. Identifying what we want, how we feel, how to communicate, learning a balance etc. If we can help the younger generations focus on love, helping one another, kindness, curiosity, self-esteem, self-love and understanding we will restructure the world around us.
I believe in hands-on learning. It is important to understand how your child learns, and what interests them. When children engage in activities they enjoy, they can take so much more from an experience. I aim to use this space to share information I have on activities both inside and outside the home. I want to help bridge the gap between adult and child and help those healthy habits we are learning become family routines. We all need to learn to take care of ourselves, eat healthy, be active and have fun, so why not do it together? When we learn what makes us unique it is a fun journey to take together!
